The Trossachs

The Trossachs is an area of Scotland renowned for its natural beauty and scenic splendour. Historically, The Trossachs is the small wooded glen bordered by Ben Venue to the south, Lochs Katrine and Achray to the west and east respectively, and Ben A'an to the north. Even in Sir Walter Scott's day, when he walked here, it was taken to include a wider area, and now the 'Trossachs' encompasses an area from Loch Lomond in the west to Callander in the east, and from Aberfoyle in the south to Balquhidder in the north.
